There is a FLIP for the Hunt’s Ketchup. I’m sort of confused about the flips. Unless the coupon did not say one deal per transaction, I’ve always only used one because I felt that was the right thing to do. I want the deals, but I also want Publix to get reimbursed for the qs. I know that some people use multiple flips per transaction and that some managers are okay with that. What do you think? I suppose it can’t hurt to ask the manager… I’m doing my best to coupon with integrity and consideration of others. The main Publix I shop at has had to tighten up their rules and such on couponing because of one person who abuses it. (ie. 40 boxes of eggos without letting anyone at the store know ahead of time, stretching what a coupon should be used for and Publix not getting reimbursed,…) And I say this because every worker in there has said something negative about this particular person.
Okay, so I think a FLIP is a Food Lion Internet Printable? Please correct me if I’m wrong! I would definitely ask your manager how many competitor coupons they will accept. Publix DOES NOT get reimbursed for competitor coupons – the money comes out of their pocket! This is one way they try to be competitive in the grocery market.
In terms of coupon integrity – this is one of those areas where you need to do what you feel is right. If the manager says it’s okay to use multiple FLIPs, then go ahead if you want. Or if you only feel right using 1, just use 1! Personally, I love Publix – they treat me well, so I do my best to return the favor! I choose not to use multiple competitor coupons because I do not think that is in the best interest of my local Publix store. Other people may not feel the same, and that’s fine too. This is one of those “gray areas” of couponing. Hope that helps!
